- What is the base rent and lease term?
- Which concessions apply to this unit?
- What are all required monthly fees?
- How much is due at application, signing, and move-in?
The apartment and building
- Which utilities are included?
- Is parking assigned and what does it cost?
- How are packages handled?
- What are the amenity hours?
- How are maintenance emergencies handled?
- Is construction planned nearby or inside the property?
Lease terms
- How much notice is required before move-out?
- What is the early-termination policy?
- Are roommates or replacements allowed?
- What are the guest and subletting rules?
- How is renewal pricing communicated?
Get important answers in writing
Verbal statements can be misunderstood. Ask the leasing office to include material promises, concessions, unit details, and fee information in the lease, addendum, or another written document.
